The Music+Media Ministry of The Gate Church exists to set and establish an atmosphere that is free of distraction and conducive to worship, enabling the Spirit of God to move freely among the congregation, serve as an enhancement to the worship service and prepare the people for the delivery of the Word of God. Music at The Gate Church does not serve as a means of filling gaps in the worship service but is an active, participatory and integral part of our worship gatherings that fulfills our biblical command to sing.

•  Col. 3:16 - Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach

   and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and

    hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

•  Eph. 5:18-19 - Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life.

   Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual

   songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

•  Ps. 96:1 - Sing a new song to the Lord! Let the whole earth sing to the Lord!

Our primary mission is to magnify and glorify Jesus Christ in everything we do. The mission of the Music+Media Ministry is to facilitate the fulfillment of the overall mission and vision of this church through the delivery of:

-  Biblical and spirit-led music that enhances the worship service.

-  Music that edifies, inspires and challenges the body of Christ and further

    enables them to experience Christ on a personal level.

-  Christ-centered music that boldly shares the Good News.

-  Innovative, fresh and creative music that is unique to this church.

-  Training that equips, empowers, and enables others to grow and realize

    their full potential in the area of Music+Media ministry.

BIBLICAL STRUCTURE

-  Theologically Sound– songs, prayer, and vision are all empowered

    and informed by the Bible. 

-  Spirit Empowered – our worship to God is empowered by the Spirit

    of God who has spoken through His Son, and is speaking through His

    people for His own glory.

-  Praise – adoration that leads to action.

-  Proclamation – lips that confess His name.

-  Service – demonstration of the gospel and its power in our lives to the

    world through our willingness to serve one another.

-  Submission – the respecting of Godly authority in our lives so that we grow

    in wisdom and holiness.

TEAM

-  Unity – One Body, many members. (1 Cor. 12:12)

-  Diversity – Different members working together to protect the presence

    and wonder of our God.

-  Participation – serving side by side for the sake of God’s kingdom, We

    reflect a God of community when we serve together.

-  Consistency – serving consistently leads to consistent quality.

-  Punctuality – respecting the time of others busy schedules.

-  Sacrifice – giving of time, talent, and treasure.

-  Humility – Less desirable duties equally as important, all for the sake of

    the Gospel.

-  Intensity – serve with enthusiasm.

-  Flexibility – the ability to go with the flow and adapt when needed to make

    changes for the advancement of the ministry.

-  Grace – understand that we all need grace, especially when we are all on

    the same team and need to be a cohesive unit.

-  Integrity – lead by example through your life on and off stage.

SKILL

-  Excellence – Always striving to offer God our best and constantly looking for

    ways to improve.

-  Diligence – putting forth the effort needed to hone our skills and achieve

    excellence for the glory of God.

-  Creativity – created in the image and likeness of God, who is Creator, we

    should therefore create and find new ways to creatively portray the gospel

    through all that we do.
